The Fullerton Hotel Singapore Unveils A New Ballroom: Led Chandelier Lighting And State-Of-The-Art Sound System With Karaoke Equipment Are Highlights Of The Transformation

SINGAPORE, 29 August, 2016 – Gazetted as Singapore’s 71st National Monument on December 2015, The Fullerton Hotel’s storied reputation as a member of the social and business communities has withstood the test of time since 1928. As the landmark’s legacy continues to evolve, the newly transformed Ballroom re-establishes the hotel as the preferred destination for meetings, milestone celebrations and official events.

A Grand Welcome
As guests enter the Ballroom through the sweeping staircases, the air of grandeur is heightened by three ellipse shaped chandeliers intricately designed with more than 386,000 crystals strung over 32,000 strands. As part of the hotel’s commitment to sustainable environmental practices, the chandeliers are powered by energy-saving LED lighting.

State-of-the-art Sound System with Karaoke Equipment
A highlight of the transformation is the installation of a top-of-the-line sound system in the pillarless Ballroom, which is divisible into 3 smaller function rooms.

Befitting celebrations by wedding couples, luminaries and official guests who have made The Ballroom their venue of choice is a 5000-watt Carvin TRC system. From acoustic performances to live band performances, the sound system not only has broad coverage ability at the front of house main speakers, its compact size enables it to be integrated into the ballroom’s wall panel inconspicuously. As guests mingle and network in the pre-function area, an uncompromising experience sets the mood via THX certified in-ceiling speakers. Apart from a THX surround sound performance, the system also provides quality coverage for larger events.

To enliven any corporate event or social celebrations is a customised audio system with karaoke components. Ranging from BSS BLU-100 audio processors that are tuned to match each ballroom’s unique acoustics properties to Sennheiser’s microphone system, the unparalleled experience will create treasured memories of the event.

A First-in-class Visual Experience
Featuring the Epson EB-G6800 projectors that are the first in the range to showcase Epson’s renowned home theatre projection technologies, a superlative visual experience awaits the guests. Complementing the overall flexibility in video projection is the ease in which the projectors can be concealed and lowered into position from the four-metre high ceiling.

Handicap-friendly Facilities
To facilitate the movement of wheelchair-bound guests, the Ballroom is outfitted with a handicap lift. Based upon request, a custom-made ramp can also be installed to enable guests to access the Ballroom more easily from the entrance level.

Corporate Dining Package: Early Bird Privileges
For companies that are planning to organise an annual client appreciation event or staff party, the Ballroom is an ideal venue especially for an enquiry of 480 guests in a banquet setting.

Elements of the Corporate Dining Package are as follows:

• Choice of sumptuous Western, Chinese or International buffet menus
• Free flowing soft drinks and mixers for the entire duration of the event
• Table floral centre piece arrangement to compliment the event

Priced at $90 per person or $900 per table of 10 persons (minimum booking of 250 persons or 25 tables), the Package is valid from Monday to Sunday.
