As one of the highlights of the Marina Bay Singapore Countdown 2015, the popular 3D projection show will return this year to light up the façade of The Fullerton Hotel with vividly coloured scenes of our nation’s identity.

The digital art showcase combines vibrant imagery and intricate textures to evoke a sense of beauty and grandeur that is befitting of the occasion and the heritage building. The Urban Redevelopment Authority has specially designed this year’s projection to integrate and highlight the iconic architectural features of The Fullerton Hotel which was recently gazetted as our nation’s latest National Monument.

Developed jointly by a Singapore-Canadian team of designers of Aims (Singapore) and Symmetrica (Canada), the projection show will depict multi-faceted aspects of who we are as a nation today as we build on this foundation to launch a better future for Singapore. This includes Singapore’s cultural and architectural richness, City in a Garden identity, modernity and vision of the future as we look ahead.

The projections are underscored by a rousing soundtrack arranged by Symmetrica’s Felipe Grytz and based on Victory, a composition by Singapore instrumental rock band, Paint the Sky Red’s. The band hopes that their song will serve as a soundtrack for self-reflection and contemplation.

Singaporeans and visitors can enjoy the five-minute 3D projection every hour nightly from 26 to 31 December. The display will culminate in a spectacular countdown sequence on New Year’s Eve.
