THE FULLERTON NATIONAL MONUMENT EXHIBITION

Date  East Garden Foyer

Date  07 December 2015 - 28 February 2016

Curated in commemoration of the Fullerton Building’s gazette as Singapore’s 71st National Monument, this compelling and illuminating exhibition chronicles the building’s legacy since 1928.

Named after the first Governor of the Straits Settlements, Sir Robert Fullerton, this neoclassical building once housed the General Post Office and witnessed many historic events and milestones; stories that propelled Singapore into first-world status. It also stood as the Mile Zero of Singapore, the centre of which all roads and distances were measured.

Through five different sections, this showcase explores the narrative that unfolded at the centre of the Singapore Story.
