JOY

Date  East Garden Foyer

Date  10 April 2018 - 14 May 2018

Premiering in Singapore as part of the Poland SHIOK festival 2018,  the Embassy of the Republic of Poland to Singapore proudly presents a group art exhibition featuring 3 young Polish female artists.

Julita Malinowska, Marta Zawadzka and Queen Verona (Weronika Szpalerska) are 3 extraordinary women – artists, whose names have appeared in the recent years on both the Polish and international art markets. Each of them represents a different style and technique but what they have in common is the joy of creating.

Through the pop art icons painted by Marta, the romantic origami paintings inspired by Japanese art created by Verona as well as detailed and passionate scenes of vacations painted by Julita, one can see a common thread reflecting the notion of the joy of life.

The Exhibition which has been curated by the Singapore International Contemporary Art Society carries a message of peace, harmony and love and is an artistic voice against the aggression, conflicts and violence happening in the world.

This Group Exhibition entitled "Joy",  features a selection of 12 mixed media and oil on canvas paintings with an aim to present to the viewers the feelings of joy and beauty.
