Delve into the rich world of Mongolian heritage where captivating artworks by Mongolian calligraphists and displays of traditional intellectual toys (IQ toys) will be exhibited at The Fullerton Heritage Gallery from 28 June to 28 July 2016.

 

Mongolian Calligraphy originated over 2000 years ago and the Classical Mongolian Script was created during the rise of the Great Mongol Empire, by the order of the Chingis Khan. The classical Mongolian Script is one of the wonders of the spiritual culture and precious heritage of Mongolia and was inscribed on the List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent safeguarding by UNESCO in 2013.

 

Works displayed at the exhibition include that of artists Mr. L. Tuvshinjargal and Mr. Ts. Tamir who are renowned for their unique compositions presenting sophisticated harmony between modern art and ancient calligraphy with skilful techniques using white ink and intense drawing practices.

 

The admission to the exhibition at Fullerton Heritage Gallery, Fullerton Hotel Singapore is free.
