DIDIER LOURENCO EXHIBITION

Date  The Fullerton Hotel

Date  20 September 2016 - 04 October 2016

El amor es invisible y entra y sale por donde quiere, sin que nadie le pida cuenta de sus hechos.

(Love is invisible and comes and goes whenever it wishes, and nobody can ask it to account for itself)

~ Miguel de Cervantes (1547 – 1616)

This September, The Fullerton Heritage, Barnadas Huang gallery and artist Didier Lourenço invite you to engage in the emotions and the visuals of love, through a series of work from 2010 to the present, charting the artist’s growth from his Mediterranean landscapes to his current and most recognised theme, the Muse."

Born in Premia del Mar, Barcelona, in 1968, Didier Lourenco worked at his father's print studio when he was only 19. In Visible and Invisible, we track the artist's trajectory over the last 7 years, as he explores a myriad of backgrounds and contexts - from the crowded streets of a cosmopolitan city to the introspective quietness of a museum.  His subjects straddle the representational and the abstract, but share a similarity: they are engaged in or are the recipients of labours of love.

Exhibition Date: 20 Sep – 4 Oct 2016
