artcommune gallery proudly presents Memories of Singapore River: Paintings by Local Artists, held in conjunction with a documentary film project by Filmat36 to commemorate Singapore's bicentennial. Many local artists have held a deep affinity for Singapore River, being one of the favourite locations where they often gathered to paint en plein air. In celebration of the significance of this iconic landmark in Singapore’s art history, this special showcase features various artistic expressions of Singapore River, ranging from the realist-impressionist oils of Tan Choh Tee to the ink compositions of Lim Tze Peng.
