The Fullerton Heritage and The TENG Ensemble Debut with "Reminiscence", a Music Video that Celebrates the Story Behind Singapore's 71st National Monument, The Fullerton Hotel Singapore

Date Wednesday, August 03, 2016

SINGAPORE, 3 August 2016The Fullerton Heritage and The TENG Ensemble pay homage to the life-long relationships, stories and love that have been celebrated in the Fullerton Building since 1928 with the debut of “Reminiscence”, an original composition which weaves two classical tunes of old into one - “Lavender’s Blue”, an English folk song written in the 17th century and “望春风 Bāng Chun-hong (Longing for the Spring Breeze), a Taiwanese Hokkien song written in 1933 by Teng Yu Hsien.

Shot on location in The Fullerton Hotel Singapore, the music and storyline are inspired by the majestic architecture as well as the countless personal stories and memories of Singaporeans who have lived, worked, played and wedded in the historic building. Evoking moments of tenderness and nostalgia, “Reminiscence” also exudes an East-West spirit that distinctly characterises The Fullerton Heritage and The TENG Ensemble.

The four minutes long music video, directed and produced by Fiction Shore will be released on The Fullerton Heritage’s Facebook and Youtube channel on 7 August 2016. For a private viewing of the video ahead of the release, please access it via http://bit.ly/ReminiscenceinFullerton.

The TENG Ensemble will also present a concert entitled “Stories from an Island City” that tell of ten Singaporean stories through music, film and dance at Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay on 12 August.
